Bobby Dean Huskey died February 22, 2020 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born January 22, 1934 in Strawberry, AR to Charles Gerphus Huskey & Olene (Gardner) Huskey. He was united in marriage to Florence Lee Black December 24, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, James Allen Huskey, son Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Huskey, & sister, Loretta Huskey Jones.
Bobby is survived by his wife Florence Huskey of the home, son Roger (Danielle) Huskey, grandsons Eric (Heather) Huskey, Brent (Keitha) Huskey, Adam (Brittney) Huskey, Mike (Rhonda) Hamilton, Alex (Megan) Barnes, Megan (Nathan) Hulsey, and Emily (Evan) Seivers, nephews Lanny (Brenda Sue) Jones & Kerry (Net) Jones, great grandchildren Jody (Cody) Brannon, Dawson (Katelynn) Snyder, Vanessa Hamilton, Shelby Hoggard, Shanna Hoggard, Lanae Hamilton, Lexi Hamilton, Katelyn Grady, Julian Richard, Elias Huskey, Peyton Huskey, Sloan Seivers, Isaac Huskey, Fisher Huskey, Olivia Huskey, and many other family & friends.
Bobby was the hardest working man that his family & friends have ever met. He loved the land and farmed it for most of his life. After retirement, Bobby grew several acres of gardens and sold the vegetables to keep himself busy. He was married to the love of his life for 65 years and his face lit up whenever she entered the room. He was an avid hunter and trapper his whole life. He also enjoyed trips to Alaska, whether it was for hunting wild game or taking his family on an adventure. In later years, his enjoyment came from the many stories that he would tell of his various travels and giving life lessons. Bobby loved to be surrounded by family and friends. His greatest joys came from watching his great grandchildren play and laugh.
Visitation is 5:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday February 25, 2020 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, Saffell, Arkansas.
Funeral services are Wednesday February 26, 2020 beginning at 11:00AM at Mt. Harmony Baptist, Saffell, AR with Stanley Vandergrift officiating.
Burial is in Lancaster Cemetery, Strawberry AR under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Durham, Josh Geurin, Scott Durham, Blake Geurin, Hunter Durham, and Dustin Geurin.

Florence Black Huskey, 84 of Strawberry, died Saturday May 22, 2021 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 12, 1937 in Pleasant Ridge, KY to Gilbert Black & Ethel Dragoo Black. She was a loving matriarch to a large family. She was united in marriage to Bobby Dean Huskey on December 24, 1954. She was a homemaker her entire life and she was a member of Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Ethel Black; husband, Bobby Dean Huskey; and sons, James Allen Huskey & Ronald Dean Huskey.
She is survived by son, Roger (Danielle) Huskey of Smithville; brothers, William Black of Hot Springs, Jack (Jenny) Black of Jacksonville, & George Black of Slidell, LA; sister, Carolyn (Pat) Clinton of Walnut Ridge; grandsons, Eric (Heather) Huskey of Strawberry, Brent (Keitha) Huskey of Annieville, Adam (Brittney) Huskey of Paragould, & Mike (Rhonda) Hamilton; great grandchildren, Jody (Cody) Brannon, Shelby Hoggard, Shanna Hoggard, Katelyn Graddy, Elias Huskey, Peyton Huskey, Isaac Huskey, Fisher Huskey, Olivia Huskey, Vanessa Hamilton, Lanae Hamilton, & Alexis Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 25, 2021 from 12:30PM-2:00PM at Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell.
Funeral services will follow at Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist beginning at 2:00PM with Bro. Stanley Vandergrift officiating.
Interment will be in Lancaster Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.
