January 20, 1936 - December 23, 2017
Barbara Susan Butler, age 81, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Butler was born January 20, 1936, in Camden, Arkansas. She attended Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas, where she was an active member of the Mission Circle and Sunday School. She was a loving wife and mother who took pride in being a homemaker.
Her generosity and warmth was felt by friends and loved ones over eight decades through her delicious dishes. Her specialties were Soul Food and Peach Cobbler with a side of "Honest Advice".
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Joe "Coot" Braggs and Willie Mae (Dennis) Braggs Craig, brothers Bernest Braggs, Earnest Braggs, and Johnny Braggs, daughters Shari Butler, Debra Butler, and Barbara Ann (Butler) Fluker, and sons Lawrence Butler and Daryl Butler.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Henry Lee Butler, a daughter, Leah Butler Biley (Michael), a brother Willie Joe Braggs, four grand children, Undria Fluker, Ronald Fluker II (LaTisha), Meah Biley, and Michelle Biley, and nine great-grand children. Also she leaves to mourn a special Godson Brandon "Boo" Smith, a Goddaughter Krystal Hardy, and a host of nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.
The family will receive friends at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Arkansas, on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services will be at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas, on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
