Leander Walker Tucker, 83, died Monday at his name near Farmington. He was born at New Castle, Va., February 14, 1861. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Little Elm Baptist church by the Rev. 0. L. Lierly of Fayetteville.
Pallbearers were Harvey White, Bruce Howell, John Haines, Bill Gregory, Lester Beavers and Chester McKee. Burial was in Farmington cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Willie Day Walker; one son, Henry, Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Elnora Allen, Fort Smith, and Mrs. Izetta Gibson, Farmington; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bell Wolf, New Castle, Va.; and two brothers, Will, Tin Castle, Va., and Vade, Roanoke, Va.
