Dianna Lea Coats, 70, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, December 13, in a Little Rock hospital. She was born December 10, 1950, in Santa Fe, NM, and was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She was the owner of Dianna’s Flowers and attended New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, George H. “Bunny” Powell; her mother, Bonita Jean Moss Hankins; her step-father, Coys Hankins; a brother, Larry Powell; and a grandson, Jonathan Pharris, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Coats; one son, Donny Miller; one daughter, Crystal Mondragon and husband, Marvin; step-mother, Wilma Powell; brothers, George Powell and wife, Joni, Bub Burkhalter and wife, Doe, and James Powell; sisters, Julie Watson and husband, Steve, and Marilyn Kuenstler and husband, Jay; three grandchildren, Brittney Miller, Katelyn Blanchard, and Daniel Mondragon.
Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 17, at New Home Missionary Baptist Church, followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 A.M. with the Revs. Johnie Brewster and Joseph Pemberton officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery under the direction of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to New Home Cemetery Association, c/o Randy Blasengame, 6080 Hwy. 54, Star City, AR 71667.
