PRAIRIE GROVE - Nathan D. Mefford Sr., age 100, a resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born Aug. 7, 1917, in Lincoln, Ark., the son of Nathan Dee and Mary Magdalene (Prescott) Mefford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Ardella Mefford, his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Nathan D. Mefford and wife Charolette and John Mefford and wife Linda; two daughters, Clarice Edgin and Carol Reed and husband Harold Leo; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 4, 2018, 6-8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Lincoln, Ark. Burial will be in the Beaty Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.

LINCOLN — Marjorie Ardella Mefford, 86, of Lincoln died Jan. 11, 2006, at Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Lincoln to Grover C. and Clara Hosmun Thomas. She was a homemaker, a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln.

Survivors include her husband, Nathan D. Mefford of the home; two sons, Nathan Mefford and wife Charolette and John Mefford and wife Linda, all of Springdale; two daughters, Clarice Edgin and husband Dennis of Prairie Grove and Carol Elam of Lincoln; two sisters, Opal Bond of Prairie Grove and Nellie Shipley of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln with Earl Adams officiating.

Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery near Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m Sunday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Pallbearers will be Larry Pittman, Casey Jones, Larry Oelrich, James Nunley, John Staats and Rocky Chouinard.
