Loy Don Osburn 84, of Black Rock passed away December 18, 2017 at the Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas. Born December 2, 1933 in Lowry, Oklahoma; son of Earl and Rhoda Hobbs Osburn.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean conflict.

He worked as an Engineer on the Towboats and was a loving father.

Preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Robert, Richard, Morris, Andy and Paul Osburn

He is survived by 4 sisters, Earlene Treadway, Lura Cox, Judy Hill and Elizabeth Morphis all of Oklahoma; five children, Donnie Osburn and Carter Osburn both of Black Rock, Susan Spence and husband Noel of Corning; Cindy Cox and husband Frankie of Black Rock and Karen Osburn of Los Angeles, California; Grandchildren, Leslie Brashers, Derek Weldon, Julie Weldon, and Stacy Weldon; Great grandkids, Jacob Cox, Jonathon Vargas, Justin Vargas, Alexis Brashers, Kennedie Weldon, Dylan Brashers and Korbyn Brashers; and many other relatives and friends.

Private Services will be held at a later date.

Dorthy “Dot” Lucille Osburn, 84 of Black Rock; passed from this life on May 7, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born April 25, 1937 in Lake City, AR; daughter of the late John and Zella Meredith Cummings. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the Lake Charles Full Gospel Church in Black Rock. Dot was a homemaker and a loving mother; she enjoyed gospel music, playing the Guitar and Accordion; gardening and cooking for her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; five sisters, Kathryn Bolding, Bonnie Self, Imogene Drum, Murlene Parman, and Zella Beaman; a brother, John L. Cummings; and a daughter-n-law, Rose Osburn.

Survivors include her two sons, Donnie K. and Carter Osburn both of Black Rock; three daughters, Susan (Noel) Spence of Corning, Cindy (Frankie) Cox of Black Rock and Karen VeLonda Osburn of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Leslie (Dustin) Brashers, Derek (Michelle) Weldon, Julie and Stacy Weldon, and Kimberly Wells; seven great grandchildren, Alexis, Kennedie, Dylan, Korbyn, Jacob, Johnathan, and Justin; one great great grandchild, Emryn Irene Vargas; two sisters, Pat (Jerry) Milligan of Springfield, MO and Juanita Winslow of Maynard; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.

Graveside service will be Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. in the Old Bethal Cemetery near Black Rock with Bro. Harold Russell officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Vargas, Christopher Thatcher, Shane Cummings, Derek Weldon, Dylan, and Dustin Brashers.

Visitation will be from 12 P.M. till 2 P.M. in the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.
