FAYETTEVILLE — Sharon Ann Wilson, 70, of Fayetteville died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette. She was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Fayetteville to Johnny and Daisy Cook Gibson.

Sharon was a certified nursing assistant. Although she was an area resident for most of her life, she had lived in Puerto Rico and Sicily for a time. She was a championship bowler when she was younger, and enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Mickey Wilson of Fayetteville, Judi Sturgill and husband, Todd, of Bentonville; two sisters, Virginia Harrison and husband, Gene, of Fayetteville, Judith Hawkins and husband, Richard, of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Ryan Henry, Heather Crain, Jackson Wilson, Logan Sturgill, Breanne Durmon; five great-grandchildren; and several nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jimmy Wilson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Private interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
