Herman Lee Watson, Sr., was born on December 2, 1929, to Daniel Watson and Aplean Davis in Waldo, Arkansas, he was the third child to this union. He departed this life March 11,2021. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, patriot and friend.

At an early age he joined St. James A.M.E church where he accepted Christ into his life.

He joined the US Navy in his early years where he completed several tours. After his tour in Japan he returned home where he met and married the love of his life, the late Florene (Kidd) Watson. “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord'' Proverbs18:22.Through this union 5 children were born.

He was a hardworking provider for his family. He was employed by Celetex and Elks roofing plants for 44 years. He also worked at Arquest Incorporated as a security guard. During these years he also operated a custodian service for Woodland office building in Camden AR. He loved his family and did everything he could to make sure they were happy and cared for. His children have fun memories of loading into his yellow station wagon and going to Hot Springs to visit family. They will smile when they think of the times they thought he was giving them coffee, only to find out that it was PET milk with a splash of coffee. These fun memories will forever stay with his family and be shared for years to come.

Herman is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Aplean, his wife Florene, his brothers Lee Author, Howard, John, Daniel, James and Freddy Watson; his sisters Precious Haley, OdieMa Burton, Diane Davis and Marilyn Felton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother Kenneth (Kimberly) Watson of Dallas, Texas, his two sons Herman Watson Jr.(Merolyn) and Michael Watson of Camden, Arkansas; his daughters Brenda Champion of El Dorado, Arkansas, Debra (Douglas) Scott, and Judy (James) Moore of Camden, Arkansas. He also leaves his grandchildren Shavon Champion Brown of El Dorado, Arkansas, Brandon (Olympicia) Champion of Camden Arkansas, Crystal (Steven) Sullivan of Dallas, Texas, Amber (Laquinton) Piggee of Conway, Arkansas, Eric (LaKreasha) Seguin of Camden, Arkansas, Justin Seguin of Camden, Arkansas, Cori Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jalen Moore. His great grandchildren: Isaiah, Elijah and Noah Brown. Demhya and DeMaurio Dawn, Deshaurie Seguin, Justin Seguin Jr., Javione Seguin, Serenity Seguin, Ariyah Johnson, Lalia Seguin and Eric Seguin Jr. Breniya Champion, Braylen Champion, Brandon Champion Jr. and Victoria Mae Piggee. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
