Herman Lee Watson, Sr., was born on December 2, 1929, to Daniel Watson and Aplean Davis in Waldo, Arkansas, he was the third child to this union. He departed this life March 11,2021. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, patriot and friend.
At an early age he joined St. James A.M.E church where he accepted Christ into his life.
He joined the US Navy in his early years where he completed several tours. After his tour in Japan he returned home where he met and married the love of his life, the late Florene (Kidd) Watson. “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord'' Proverbs18:22.Through this union 5 children were born.
He was a hardworking provider for his family. He was employed by Celetex and Elks roofing plants for 44 years. He also worked at Arquest Incorporated as a security guard. During these years he also operated a custodian service for Woodland office building in Camden AR. He loved his family and did everything he could to make sure they were happy and cared for. His children have fun memories of loading into his yellow station wagon and going to Hot Springs to visit family. They will smile when they think of the times they thought he was giving them coffee, only to find out that it was PET milk with a splash of coffee. These fun memories will forever stay with his family and be shared for years to come.
