HOPE, Ark.—Margaret Joe Jefferson, 83, of Nashville, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
Elder Jefferson was born Oct. 12, 1930, in Columbus, Ark. She was assistant pastor at True Deliverance House of Prayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jefferson; and two children, Joe Willie Jefferson and Randolph Jefferson.
Survivors include three daughters, Bertha Moore of Hope and Geneva Jones and Helen White of Nashville; five sons, Ray Charles Jefferson of Texarkana, Elton Jefferson, Clyde Jefferson and Randy Jefferson of Nashville and Milton Jefferson of McCaskill, Ark.; two sisters, Thelma Turner of Ashdown, Ark., and Colna Nelson of Saratoga, Ark.; one brother, Charles Vaughn of Columbus; 41 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sixth Street Auditorium, Nashville. Burial will be in Camp Springs Cemetery, Columbus, under direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and visitation is 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
