Robbie Funderburk, age 52, of Kirby, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
He was born on September 15, 1963 in Murfreesboro, the son of Billy Wayne Funderburk and Annie Belle Smith Funderburk. On November 22, 1984, he was married to Karen Tolleson.
Robbie was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and where he was very involved with church activities. He was active in the Kirby Youth Association and Southwest Arkansas Babe Ruth Baseball, coaching baseball to all ages of young people. He was an avid Kirby Trojan fan, hunter and fisherman. Before retiring due to health reasons, Robbie started on day one with the Pike County Landfill and worked for the county 28 years, leaving as landfill foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Funderburk of Kirby; his son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Kayla Funderburk of Kirby; his daughter, Becky Funderburk of Texarkana, Texas; his grandson, Cain Funderburk; his parents, Billy and Annie Funderburk of Kirby; his sister, Teresa Cogburn and her husband, Billy, of Kirby; his brother, Mike Funderburk and his wife, Jan, of Kirby; and his nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
