Mrs. Agnes Collins Jones, aged 58, Rt. 1, Smithville died Sunday morning at 1:00 in Lawrence Memorial Hospital, following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Jones was born in Ava, Mo., and moved to Lawrence County in early life, living most of her lifetime in the Giles Spur community. She moved to Rt. 1, Smithville, two years ago.
Mrs. Jones was married to Orval Jones on March 27, 1937 and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors, other than her husband, are five sons, Johnny Jones, Rt. 1, Smithville, Rex Jones and Harry Jones, both of Rt. 1, Walnut Ridge, Larry Jones, Rt. 3, Walnut Ridge and Billy Mack Jones, Rt. 1, Delaplaine; three daughters, Mrs. Gene White, Rt. 1, Delaplaine, Sue Jones and Mrs. Brenda Cullum, both of Rt. 1, Walnut Ridge; a sister, Mrs. Lola Vinson, Rt. 1, Smithville; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Bryan Chapel conducted by Vertis Craig Jr. and Bobby G. Smith.
Burial was in the Whittaker Cemetery under direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jack Tribble, Boyce Williams, Wayne Brumble, Rex Gentry, Delbert Gall, Earnest Hancock, Joe Binkley and Paul Stratton.
