Campground (aka Mt Pleasant) Cemetery

*History: "Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery, known as the Campground. The church was organized in 1843 by Rev. J. Melton Carr. The first church in Drew County and one of the oldest Methodist Churches in Arkansas. Land for the cemetery came from the Andrew Cavaness Estate. In 1852 Andrew Cavaness of Alabama bought the land belonging to Issac Price and deeded twenty acres to the church and ten acres to the colored cemetery, which is nearby."
