Prairie Grove - Elbert Leo Childress, 66, of Lincoln, died today in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1914, at Lincoln, the son of Leonard and Alma Jane Rich Childress, he was a retired farmer.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rita Geneva Moore Childress of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Davis of Lincoln; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Luginbuel Chapel, Prairie Grove, with burial in Beaty Cemetery.

FAYETTEVILLE — Rita Geneva Childress, 87, of Fayetteville died Feb. 15, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born April 5, 1921, near Rheas Mill to William M. "Billy" and Edna Bell Beaty Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Childress and one great-granddaughter, Minnie Davis.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kay Davis and husband Kenneth of Lincoln; one sister, Nina Grant of Farmington; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, online at www.luginbuel.com. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Rick Reed and Randy Magar. Burial will be in the Beaty Cemetery near Lincoln.

Pallbearers will be Gary Davis, Lacy Davis, Jason Davis, Eric Davis, Matthew Watson, Jason Turner and David Ray.
