Gary Wayne Miller, age 71 of Monticello, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, in Monticello, AR He was born July 11, 1948, in Monticello, AR to the late Robert Lee "Tobe" Miller, Sr. and Mildred Bonez Gunn Miller.
He was a retired welder and welding inspector for the pipeline, a Christian and longtime member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Gary was a workaholic! He just worked, worked and worked on a daily basis but also enjoyed meeting with his buddies at the coffee shop. He always kept his yard, vehicles and home in an immaculate manner. Gary was a devoted husband, father and papaw. Even though we know that he is at home with his Lord, we miss his earthy presence. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, R. L. Miller, Jr. and Leo Miller; and five sisters, Joan Miller Herring, Elouise Gregory, Vivian Johnston, Marcell Clary and Eddie Stout.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Louise Burton Miller of Monticello; one son, Jason Wayne Miller of Monticello; one daughter, Terri Miller Christoph of San Antonio, TX; one grandson, Stevie Christoph of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Roger Miller and wife Sandra of Monticello; one sister in law, Barbara Miller of Monticello, AR; one brother in law, Damon Herring, of Monticello, AR; along with several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow at Campground Cemetery. A come and go viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening following COVID-19 guidelines at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
