Mildred “Bonnie” Gunn Miller passed away Friday, February 07, 2014 at her home in Monticello. She was born March 9, 1926 in Drew County, AR to the late Walter G. Gunn, Sr. and Mary Ella Cheseney Gunn.
She was retired from Burlington with 34 years of service and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Monticello. She was the widow of R.L. “Tobe” Miller, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a son, R.L. Miller, Jr.; a daughter, Joan Miller Herring; three brothers, Ben Gunn, Doyle Gunn and Walter Gunn, Jr.; one sister, Inez Gunn Sweet; and one grandson, Brad Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Miller and wife, Sandra and Gary Miller and wife, Mary, all of Monticello; one sister, Mary Gunn Curtis, one son in law, Damon Herring; one daughter in law, Barbara Miller of Monticello; four grandsons, Kevin Herring, Doug Herring, Jason Miller and Rusty Miller all of Monticello; one granddaughter, Terri Miller Christoph of Houston, TX; three great-grandsons, Michael Herring, Zack Herring of Colorado and Stevie Christoph of TX. She also helped raise twin sisters Brittney and Whitney Bowers of Alabama.
