HINDSVILLE — Alvin B. Shannon, 74, of Hindsville died Sept. 30, 2004, in Springdale. He was born June 12, 1930, near Lincoln to John D. and Della B. Beaty Shannon. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the telephone pioneers.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Prickett Shannon, of the home; four sons, Mike Shannon of Siloam Springs, Billy Vanhook of Farmington, Philip Vanhook of Fayetteville; John Shannon of California; four daughters, Sara Della Shannon of Centerton, Ruth Ann Jones of California, Lesa Leftwich of Clifty, Karen Jones of Springdale; two brothers, Jerry Shannon of Farmington, Tommy Shannon of Maumee, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with the Rev. Peter Kimball officiating. Another service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3042 E. Emma Ave., Springdale. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
