A Memorial Service for Mary Frances Herron of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 28, 2015, at One-O-One Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Tom Williams officiating.
Mary passed away December 17, 2015, at Good Samaritan, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was born May 19, 1927, in Moravia, Iowa, the daughter of Loyd and Lucile Cullers Carter. She married James Archie Herron on March 13, 1944 at Centerville, Iowa and was a homemaker. She and Jim moved from Morvaia, Iowa to Gamaliel, Arkansas in 1973. In 2011, she moved to Mountain Home. She was a member of the One-O-One Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flower gardening and cross stitch.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kay (John) Beecroft of Mountain Home, AR two grandsons, Chris (Regina) Beecroft of Rogers, AR and Ted (Christine) Beecroft of Oak Park, IL; five great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Richard) Goughnour of Burlington, IA; brother, Robert (Jeanne) Carter of Morning Sun, IA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Scattering of her ashes will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to One-O-One Presbyterian Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
Mary's family greatly appreciates the care she was given by the Good Samaritan Assisted Living and Hospice nurses.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
