Glenn Lamonde Proffitt, age 81, of Conroe, Texas formerly of Warren, Ark, died Friday, October 14, at Magnolia Place, Magnolia Texas. He was born January 19, 1930 at Kingsland, Arkansas a son of the late Glenn Proffitt and Ausko St John Proffitt. He was a member of the Woodlands United Methodist Church and was a retired property manager and accountant for Brown and Root. He served in the US Navy as a corpsman during the Korean conflict and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He married Charlotte Ann O'Neal Proffitt on October 31, 1954 and she died January 8, 2011. Surviving are 3 sons Steve Proffitt, Midland-Odessa, Tex, Rick Proffitt, Houston, Tex. and Chris Proffitt, Conroe, Tex; 1 brother Johnny Roberts, Houston, Tex; 1 sister Sue Best, Ingalls, Ark; 2 grandchildren Carter Glenn Proffitt, Woodlands, Tex. and Chelsea Lynn Proffitt, Warren, Ark. He was also preceded in death by his step father Ray Roberts and a brother Don Proffitt. Graveside services were 10:00am Monday, October 17, at Ebenezer Cemetery near Warren with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Rodney Bounds, Gary Best, Glenn Proffitt, Andy Best, Steve Proffitt and Andy Best, Jr.
