Ralph William Thomason Sr. age 87 of Warren, AR died Sunday April 28th 2013 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born March 22nd 1926 in Warren, AR a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Thomason and Helen Annette Moore Thomason. He was a retired millwright with 25 years of service at Potlatch, a United States Army veteran serving in WWII and Korea and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was his spouse Annie Hayes Thomason, a step daughter Annie Faye Hales and 2 brothers Leonard Ray Thomason and Bennie Frank Thomason.
Survivors include 2 sons, Buck Thomason and spouse Cathy, Warren, AR and Pat Thomason and spouse Debbie, Warren, AR, 2 stepsons, Laron Hayes and Ralph Hayes both of Warren, AR. A daughter La Tresia Whitlock and spouse Bobby, Hampton, AR, 3 step-daughters Clarann Palmer, Warren, AR, Lois Doherty, Thornton, AR and Leshia Sowerheaver, Woodlawn, AR. 2 brothers Leroy Thomason, Goodland, TX and Steven Ray Thomason, Monticello, AR. A sister Betty Land, Warren, AR. 8 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. A former spouse Ruby Trout Nichols, Warren, AR.
Funeral services were 2:00pm Wednesday, May 1st at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Musicians were Linda Barrett, Alicia Bickers, John David Clark and Amy Clark. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were John David Clark, Richard Bickers, Chris Thomason, Bobby Whitlock, Doyle Sowerheaver and J.R. Hayes. Honorary pallbearer was Dr. Kerry Pennington.
