Sondra Elaine Smith, 65, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday October 15, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born May 22, 1954 in Fayetteville the daughter of Albert Stewart and Ada June Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She worked as the City Clerk for the City of Fayetteville for 16 years and during her time there she was very dedicated to the citizens of Fayetteville. She was also a member of the Arkansas Municipal League where she served as an officer while also participating on many committees. She was an active member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville for over 25 years where she dedicated her service to the Children's Ministry. Sondra was a member of the Gideons International. During her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Neil Smith; two daughters, Angie Kichline and her husband Cory of Fayetteville and Schara Baldridge and her husband Trent of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Ezra Kichline, Ethan Skelton, Avery Kichline, Evan Skelton and Faith Baldridge; her father Loren Ray Phillips of Harrison; a brother Danny Stewart and his wife Susie of Farmington; a sister Sharon Reed and her husband Mark of Bergman and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday October 18, 2019 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery.
