Joe Baxter Milton, 78, of Ozark, Arkansas went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Ozark. He was born February 2, 1942 in Odessa, Texas to Luther “Babe” and Tennie Vee Clay Milton.
Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark. He was a proud Army veteran, police officer, volunteer fireman, auctioneer and clinical hypnotherapist. Joe was an entrepreneur who was involved in many fun ventures. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Gold Wing Road Rider Association. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, riding his electric bike, snow skiing and traveling the continental US and Canada. He lived a life most people only dream about. He will dearly be missed. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; “Mom” Leatrice Marie Milton; and daughter Carla Milton Mullaney.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 40 years Barbara Hall Milton; two sons, Ricky Milton and wife Christina of Springfield, Missouri and Jerry “Scooter” Davis and wife Wendy of New Caney, Texas; two daughters, Toni Tate and husband Derald of Temple, Texas and Angie Schalchli and husband Mike of Lindale, Texas; 14 grandchildren, Trenton Smith, Haylie, Bryce, and Brandon Barkowsky, Ashley Davis, Jessica Mayorga, Michael, Jeremy, and Ricky Milton, Jr., Tiffany Humphry, Loralye Aponte, Dusti Freeby, and Traci and Nikki Lawson; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous friends and loved ones.
Upon the request of the family Mr. Milton will not be available for viewing, his memorial book will be available for signing from 12:00 PM-9:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 W. Commercial in Ozark.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Highland Cemetery, Ozark, Arkansas with Pastor Ben Lairamore officiating under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
