Edgar S. Milton, age 95, longtime resident of Ozark, Arkansas, formerly of Emporia, Kansas, and recent resident of Clarksville, Arkansas, died December 26, 2016.
He was born October 29, 1921 in Denning, Arkansas.

He was a graduate of Ozark High School. A World War II veteran, he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church for many years, was a Mason, and was a retired salesman for Continental Grain. Edgar married his high school sweetheart, Argie Hazel Dickerson, whom he affectionately called “Sadie”. They were married for 67 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lora Floyd Milton and Elmer Stokes Milton, and his wife, Argie Hazel Milton.

He is survived by his son, Edgar S. Milton and his wife Starr; grandson, Chip Milton and his fiancé, Paula Lee; granddaughter, Karen Hobbs and her husband Justin; great grandchildren, Cody Milton, Camille Dean, Cole Milton, Colton Hobbs, Caleb Hobbs, Isla Hobbs, Madison Lee and Jackson Lee; sister, Carol Ann Mead and husband Bob. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are visitation Tuesday, December 27th 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark and on Wednesday, December 28th at First United Methodist Church at 10:30 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jeff Jackson officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

She is survived by her husband, E.S.;
son, Edgar Milton III of Geismar, La;
sister, Geraldine Harman of Ft. Smith;
a brother, Harold Dickerson of Ozark,
two grandchildren and three gr-grandchildren.
