Archie Davis the son of Benjamin Morris Davis and Myrtle Etta (Perrin) Davis.

IMBODEN -- Archie E. Davis, 80, of Imboden died Friday, Sept. 2, at his residence.

Born at Black Rock, he was a World War II Army veteran and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Imboden.

Survivors include his wife, Ualdean Davis of the home; four sons, Rusty Davis and Randy Davis, both of Bunker Hill, Ill., and Willie Turner and Joe Turner, both of Imboden; five daughters, Rose Thomas of Arnold, Mo., Jeanie Solomon of Wichita Falls, Texas, Janine Hardy of Cahokia, Ill., and Sabrina Thompson and Mary Balridge, both of Imboden; two sisters, Notra Kellough of Imboden and Shirley Bougnan of Springfield, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Myrtle Perrin Davis; a brother; and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God in Imboden, with Michael Abel and Tony Clem officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery at Imboden.

Pallbearers will be Danny Turner, Jordan Baldridge, Matthew Baldridge, Jeremy Brown, Bobby Tennison, Josh Kemper and Rusty Davis II.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.
