Dalton Dean Blankenship age 92 of Batesville died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at a Batesville nursing home. He was born April 30, 1922 at Floral, Arkansas to Noah and Beulah Sutter Blankenship. He was a self employed businessman and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Southside.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dulcie Irene Blankenship; one son Ronald Dean Blankenship of Forrest City; two daughters, Barbara Ann Cannon of Vincennes, Indiana and Cathy Jean Needham of Batesville; two brothers, Donald Blankenship of Forrest City and Doyle Blankenship of Cabot; two sisters, Aunine Hughes of Maumelle and Bonnie Clark of Pleasant Plains; five grandchildren, Scott Cannon of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christopher Cannon of Evansville, Indiana, Jesse Blankenship of Jonesboro, David Blankenship of Jonesboro and Brandon Needham of Batesville; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scott Cannon, Christopher Cannon, Jesse Blankenship, David Blankenship, Brandon Needham and Steve Cannon.
