March 30, 1875 - January 10, 1968
Mrs. Maud Chaney, 92, of 612 E. Fourth St., died Sunday in a local nursing home following a short illness. Mrs. Chaney was born March 30, 1875 at Lapile and was the daughter of Emmett and Joda Harper McKinney. She had been a resident of El Dorado since 1939 and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Willard W. Chaney of El Dorado; three daughters, Mrs. L. M. Slade and Mrs. Felton Perdue, both of Longview, Tex., and Mrs. A. C. Graves of Magnolia; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Rumph Mortuary with the Rev. Dale Shirey officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Emmett Frisby, W. J. Dycus, Lee Frisby, Claude Church, C. H. Wolfe and D. L. Evans. The family will be at the Willard Chaney residence, 612 E. Fourth St. (El Dorado Times - January 22, 1968)
