Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2017, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Fran will be buried next to the love of her life, Charlie, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home.
Fran passed away January 4, 2017, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 84. She was born January 20, 1932, in Howell, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Edith Parker Downing. She married Charles "Charlie" R. Foote on November 17, 1973, in Midland, Michigan. Fran lived in Mountain Home from 1983 until 2016 when she moved to Mississippi to live with her oldest daughter. While in Mountain Home, Fran attended the Twin Lakes Baptist Church and appreciated the company of the friends she made there. She enjoyed crocheting, watching wildlife in her backyard (especially the hummingbirds), and making crafts of all kinds. Fran was extremely proud that she had donated over five gallons of blood throughout her lifetime as she was a true believer in donating what she could. During her time in Mountain Home, Fran enjoyed participating in several clubs that included TOPS and Baxter County Extension. In some of her clubs, she was known as the 'Angel Lady' because she always wore an angel pin on her shirt. She made and gave them to others as well.
Frances is survived by her children: Jerry (Becky) Stillwagon of Rio Rancho, NM, Dave Stillwagon of Cocoa, FL, Doug (Amanda) Stillwagon of Melbourne FL, Bonnie (Roy) Wright of Corinth, MS, Kay Colon of Kimball, MI, and Mike (Holly) Stillwagon of Midland, MI. Fran is also survived four stepchildren whom she felt were her own, Jan Holdmann of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff Foote of Bay City, MI, Gene Foote of Shepard, MI, Scott Foote of Bay City, MI, son-in-law, Pat Bock of Geneva, IL. 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Foote and step-daughter, Lisa Bock.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
