Mrs. Mattie Barnett, 84, of 802 E. Faulkner St., died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Barnett is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Idell Hamaker, Mrs. Mae Bivens and Mrs. Turner Meggs, all of El Dorado, and Mrs. Thelma Bull of Wright, Ark., one son, William B. Barnett of El Dorado; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. The body was taken to 802 E. Faulkner St. at 3 p.m. Tuesday. (El Dorado Times - June 4, 1968)
