James M. Mitchell, 74, of Waldo, AR passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia.
James was born on June 18, 1940 in El Dorado, AR and was member of the Magnolia Christian Center. He was formerly certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and retired as an operator from Albemarle Corporation.
He is preceded in death by his parents Johnie and Mae (Robertson) Mitchell; brother Kenneth Wade Mitchell; sisters Loda Faye Jerry, Lucille Jacobs, and Ora Eileen Lewis.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years Pat Mitchell of Waldo; sons Randy Mitchell and wife Micki of Waldo, Chris Mitchell and wife Lauren of Magnolia; daughter Teresa Pinner and husband Jeff of Magnolia; sister Helen Halsey and husband James of El Dorado; brother-in-law Charles Jacobs of El Dorado; granddaughters Ashley Bethany and husband Danny, Laina Pinner, Reese Mitchell, Landry Mitchell all of Magnolia, Courtney Holsapple and husband Dan of El Dorado, Madelyn Mitchell of Waldo; grandsons Skylar Mitchell of Waldo, Dusty Pinner of Magnolia; great granddaughters Bella Grace Strunk of El Dorado, Lillian Jewel Bethany of Magnolia; great grandson Jensen Garland Bethany of Magnolia; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Old Union Cemetery in Union County, AR with Bro. Charles Jacobs officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Pearson, John Pickering and Raymond Woodard.
