Jo Ann (Halter) Cummins, 83, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was born March 9, 1937 in Conway a daughter of the late Victor U. and Ruby (Jumper) Halter. Jo Ann was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cummins and one brother, James Halter and wife, Nancy.

She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Jo Ann was a furniture store owner for 30 years and also worked for Wilkerson's Shoes for 22 years before retiring. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 55 years. She served many various roles throughout her membership. Jo Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Jo Ann is survived by two sons, Gary Cummins of Conway and Clay (Crystal) Cummins of Texarkana, AR, a daughter, Vicki (Scott) Sewell of Mayflower, one brother, Victor (Sachiko) Halter, grandchildren, Lindsey (Michael) Raney, Katie (Brandon) Freyaldenhoven, Justin Sewell, Callie Baker, Carrigan and Cale Cummins, great-grandchildren, Walker, Kinley, Kennedy, and Addie Kay.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Monday, January 18th at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Sewell, Michael Raney, Brandon Freyaldenhoven, Dr. Steven Halter, Kenny Halter, and Jimmy Halter.

B. Ray Cummins, 73, of Greenbrier, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
He was born September 7, 1936 in Conway to the late Earl Cummins and Lyndell Robertson Cummins.
He was the owner of E. M. Cummins and Son furniture store for 40 years, attended Arkansas State Teachers College, member of Wooster First Baptist Church and served in the Arkansas Air National Guard for nine and one half years.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Halter) Cummins of Greenbrier; sons, Gary Cummins of Conway and Clay Cummins and wife Crystal of Conway; daughter,Vicki Sewell and husband Scott of Mayflower; five grandchildren, Lindsey Raney (Michael), Katie and Justin Sewell, Callie and Carrigan Cummins; sister, Donna Robertson of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Richard Strandlund, Wilson Vandiver, Denny Brown, Dr. Steven Halter, Jimmy Halter, and Victor Halter.
