Willie “Bea” Jordan, 91, of Chidester, died Saturday, July 04, 2015 in Hot Springs, AR. Mrs. Jordan was born November 17, 1923 in Butterfield, AR, the daughter of Perry Edward and Ellen Brown Dempsey. She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and her husband, James I. “Buddy” Jordan.

Bea and Buddy were the owners of Jordan’s Café in El Dorado. In 1972 they moved to their beloved home on White Oak Lake. Bea returned to work at General Dynamics in Camden. She retired in 1989. Bea loved to fish, play her guitar and piano and visit with her friends, family and neighbors. She was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Jordan and wife, Pam of Hurst, TX; daughter, Janice Jordan Swint and husband, Paul of Hot Springs, AR; brother, Edd Dempsey and wife, Pat of Hampton, AR; sister, Henrietta Louise Sanford of Dover, FL; four grandchildren; Mark and April Jordan of Spring, TX; Phil Jordan of Hurst, TX; Stuart and Kristi Swint of Humble, TX; Casey and Dr. Rex Waggoner of New York, NY. And five great-grandchildren; Jamie and Ashley Jordan; Ian and Mallory Swint; Alex Jordan.

We would like to thank the staffs of Canyon Health and Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they provided our mother.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Old Holly Springs Cemetery. Rev. Larry Goza will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Bell Chapel United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Proctor Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.
