Christy Folse Dodson, age 46, awakened to the face of God on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 with a strong faith in the power of Christ’s love. She looked forward to the beauty and peace awaiting her after her passing. A lifetime resident of Camden, AR, she faithfully used her talents to teach and love the children of her community as a 1st grade teacher at Fairview Elementary. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and bream fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Christy was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Todd Dodson, her paternal grandparents, Eddie and Billie Folse, and her maternal grandmother, Nell Thomas.
She is survived by her parents, Eddie and Linda Folse; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Pamela Folse; two nieces, Valerie and Samantha Folse, and one nephew, Daniel Folse, all of Camden, AR, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church with burial following in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reverend Carley Davis and Reverend David Landers will officiate the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
