1909 - March 9, 1963
William (Speedy) Rhodes, aged 53, died at his home on Highway 4 West, Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God church by Rev. James Smith and Rev. Jewell Murray. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery by Forbis Funeral Service. Survivors are his mother Mrs. Maude Rhodes of Camden, three brothers, Billy, and James of Camden, and Lynn Rhodes of McAlister, Okla., three sisters, Mrs. James Stafford and Mrs. Charles Yeager of Camden; and Mrs. Marvin Vaughan of Fort Worth, Texas. The body will be taken to the family residence Saturday afternoon. (Camden News - March 10, 1963)
