March 21, 1916 - September 25, 1975
Jewell S. Tidwell, 59, of Rt. 1 Camden on the Finn Switch Road, died in his home Wednesday. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church on the Fairview cutt-off road. Burial was in the Church Cemetery under the direction of the Camden Funeral Home. Mr. Tidwell was survived by his widow, Mrs. Viola Barnett Tidwell of the home; five sons, Nolan Tidwell, Joe Tidwell, J. V. Tidwell, Jewell Wayne Tidwell and Elmer Tidwell, all of Camden; two daughters, Mrs. Omie Blair of Stephens and Mrs. Addie Purifoy of Camden; three brothers, Harvey Tidwell of Dallas, Tex.; Clarence Tidwell of Siloam Springs, Tex. and Sam Tidwell of New Boston, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Tillman of New Boston, Tex.; 13 grandchildren.
