Sister Doris Tidwell was born December 20, 1949 in Camden, AR to Gertha Hutton and Raymond Brown, Sr. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with New Haven Baptist Church. She attended Lincoln High School where she graduated in 1967. She was Drum Major of the Lincoln High School Band. After high school she also studied at Velvatex College of Beauty Culture in Little Rock, AR. She was a long time employee of Stromberg-Carlson.

She departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2019 peacefully at home. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Moses Hutton and Raymond Brown, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Earl Tidwell, Sr.; sister, Erma Moore (Rev. Eddie Moore); brother, Raymond Brown, Jr. (Phyllis); daughter, Sonya Gulley (Kevin); sons, Earl Tidwell, Jr. (Shannon) and Marreo Tidwell; grandchildren, Latoya Tidwell, DeMarreo Tidwell, Kailah Tidwell; T. J. Tidwell; and Decoris Tidwell. She has two great grandchildren, Caleb Tidwell and Harmony Penny; uncle, Cornelius (Ollie); two sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law; a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at New Haven Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
