Marlene Hodges Jones, 84, of Camden, AR passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. She was a member of Victory Church and a homemaker. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved serving her family, her church and mostly her Lord.
She is preceded in death by her father, John William Hodges, Sr.; mother, Myrtle Gammill; step-father, Earl Gammill; brothers, Marvin Hodges, Bennie Hodges, Kenny Hodges, Thomas Hodges, Dayton Hodges, Leonard Hodges and Oscar Hodges.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William F (Bill) Jones, Sr. of Camden, AR; three sons, William F (Frank) Jones, Jr. (Renee) of Camden, AR, Gary Jones (Mary) of Camden, AR, Allen Jones (Donna) of Mount Ida, AR; one daughter, Barbara Wolfe (Wayne) of Camden, AR; one brother, John William Hodges, Jr.; two sisters, Joann Pickett and Lula Mae Collums; six grandchildren, Jeremy Jones (Leigh Ann) of Camden, AR, Devonna Townsend (Brad) of Texarkana, Amy Betha of Camden, AR, Josh Jones (Sharon) of Jackson, MO, Trina Grant (Jeremy) of Camden, AR, Hannah Burns (David) of Camden, AR; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camden, AR. Rev. Jerry Ables officiating. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
