Pleasant Hill (Camden) Cemetery
Ouachita County,
Arkansas

May 24, 1936 - July 20, 2015

Patsy Sue Hunter Phillips went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2015 following a recent illness. Patsy was born in Fountain Hill, AR. on May 24, 1936 to Don Willis Hunter and Gracie Lethie O'Connor. Patsy was a resident of Camden AR until she went to live at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation in El Dorado, AR eight years ago. When physically able, she attended First Assembly of God in El Dorado, AR.

Patsy had a talent for making crafts and baking coconut cakes. She loved providing a cake to many friends and they loved receiving them. Her latest endeavors included printing and assembling a church bulletin for one of the churches she attended. She once sewed and made curtains for a Sunday School department using her own minimal finances because she thought the church needed them. During the past few months she began crocheting hats for cancer patients.

Arrangements include visitation at 10:00 am with services at 11:00 am at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR on Monday, July 27. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Fairview Rd. Services will be conducted by The Reverend Alan Womack from El Dorado First Assembly of God church.

She is survived by one son, James Rondall Phillips; one brother, Jesse Dean Hunter (Betty Sue Tomlin Hunter) in Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Betty Hunter Peele (T. Crowe Peele) in Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; visits from two grandchildren Rebecca Scarlett Daniel and James Nathan Daniel from Texas were a highlight in her life. One very special friend who helped her in many ways with visits and life assistance, Sherry Tomlin in Camden, AR, was appreciated by Patsy as well as her family.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marjorie Lynnette Phillips Daniel; four brothers, Clarence Hunter, Willis Levi Hunter, David Wesley Hunter, and Don Eugene Hunter; one sister, Clara Hunter.

The family expresses their gratitude and appreciation to the staff and doctors at Timberlane for the care she has received during her stay. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
