Bertha Johnston, 82, of Waldo, died Friday, April 19, 1996, in the Magnolia hospital.
Born December 23, 1913, in Trumann, she was a retired self-employed grocer and member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Johnston Waller of Ashdown; a son, Bobby Lee Johnston of Ashdown; two fosters sons, Johnny P. Vanderwater of Atlanta, Ga., and Lynn Ellidge of Magnolia; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, April 20, at First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wayne Gore officiating. Burial was in Greers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funerl Home of Magnolia. (Nevada County Picayune - April 24, 1996)
