SPRINGDALE — Irene Collins, 92, of Springdale, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born June 13, 1923, in Lead Hill, Ark., to John and Nancy Della Ivy Harrelson.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking, quilting, crocheting and flower arranging. She loved reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband Grover Collins, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include her four children, Wendell Collins and wife Renee of Springdale, Elaine Jones and husband William of St. Paul and Colleen VanHook and husband Wayne of Springdale and Charlotte Sitlington and husband Billy of Springdale; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Dr. Larry Aaron and the Rev. Ken Gipson officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
