VIRGINIA RUTH TIMS HEATH, resident of McCrory, Arkansas, died on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Woodruff County Healthcare. She was 85 years of age and had lived a full and wonderful life.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory with their Directors in charge of arrangements. Bro. Cecil Fuller will be the officiating minister. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery north of McCrory.

Ms. Heath was born in Mercer, Tennessee on July 29, 1925 to Robert and Pearl Groves Tims. She was a graduate of McCrory High School and attended the McCrory United Methodist Church. She was married for 42 years to William A. Heath and together they had three children, Janice, John and Belinda. Virginia was a very active person as long as her health permitted. She loved to dance, bowl, work in her garden and flowers and help other people. Making friends came easily to Virginia and keeping them was easy as well. Her long-time best friend, Mary Bryant called to check on her the day she died. Her passing was tearful, but beautiful with family and caregivers singing and reading Psalms to her. Her son, John, was reading the 23rd Psalm when she passed through the valley of the shadow of death. During her lifetime, Virginia was a Section leader for American Greetings as well as a valued employee for Beverli Enterprises. However, she was never to busy for family and friends.

Survivors include three children and their spouses, John and Ada Heath and Janice and James Williams of McCrory, Belinda and Joe Faubion of Richardson, Texas, three brothers; Bob and Minnie Tims of Cabot, Rudy and Eloise Tims of Searcy and Danny Wayne Tims of Wynne, five grandchildren, Dionne Thompson, Sean Williams, Julie Dailey, Jared Heath and Lori Kendrick, six great-grandchildren, Lily and John William Heath, Kendall and Kelby Williams and Heath and Lexi Kendrick as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Jimmie Tims and Dorothy Elam and one brother, Dewitt Tims.

Pallbearers were Gary Elam, Donnie Tims, Jimmy Tims, Eddie Keith Tims, Sean Williams and Jared Heath.

The family has requested memorials be sent to the Donor's Choice of Charities.
