Peggy Ruth (Huckabee) Green, 74, of McCrory, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Woodruff County Health Center. She was born February 5, 1946 in Beedeville a daughter of the late Orville Edward and Dovie Viola Nelson Huckabee. Peggy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing and working in her yard but spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren, was what she loved the most.
She is survived by her children, Willie Green (Deborah) of McCrory, Theresa Jones of McCrory, Kenneth Green (Melanie) of Springfield, Mo., Zachary Green (Miranda) of Wynne, Megan McNiell (Jeremy) of McCrory and Kyle Jones of McCrory; 2 brothers, Freddie Huckabee (Paula) of Southside and Tom Green (Nola) of Calico Rock; sister, Bonnie Payne of Sherwood; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ancil Green and 2 brothers, O.E. Huckabee and James Huckabee.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in the Gourdneck Community. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County.
