Mar 4, 1975 - June 7, 2016

Ginger Kay Watts, age 41 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 at her home. She was born in Harrison, Arkansas on March 4th, 1975 to David Watts and Derinda (Baker) Watts.

When she was able Ginger attended the Red Oak Freewill Baptist Church. She worked as a personal care aide with Searcy County Home Health. Ginger enjoyed listening to music and she had an amazing talent with words. She could write the most wonderful stories. Ginger liked to watch comedy movies and especially enjoyed watching Scooby Doo with her grandson. Spending time with family always brightened Ginger's day, whether with grandson Xander, daughter Britany (who lovingly called her "mum") or her nephew Hayden who she was very close to. Her whole family was very important to Ginger and time spent with them was very precious. Ginger's favorite color was periwinkle and she enjoyed drinking Sierra Mist. She had a heart full of compassion and was very sensitive to the pain and feelings of those around her.
Some special words from Ginger's daughter: "My mum could always tell a great story and always wanted to be a writer. She got this talent from my papa who writes songs. I always loved it when she would tell me your stories. My mum inspired me to write a book and I hope to one day finish that book in her honor and dedicate it to her. Mum came up with the title to my book and she took great pride in it. My mom was the most beautiful, talented woman. She was my best friend, my mum and my everything. I will carry you in my heart for as long as I live and I love you with all of my heart. Love, Your Daughter."

Survivors include one daughter, Britany Anderson of Marshall; grandson, Xander Anderson of Marshall; parents, David (Cindy) Watts of Marshall and Derinda Baker, also of Marshall; grandparent, Raymond Baker of Marshall; sister, Melissa (Brandon) Echols of Marshall; nephews, Hayden and Carter Echols of Marshall; uncles, John (Linda) Watts of Marshall and Edward (Linda) Baker of Springdale; and many cousins, other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
