Grace Marie Thompson Horton, 93, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Harrison.
She was born at Marshall, AR on January 11, 1920, to George and Dorothy Johns Thompson. Grace married Riley Horton on August 21, 1938 at Marshall. Grace's greatest achievement was her 3 daughters, Shirley, Marietta and Judy.
Grace worked as a housewife and with her husband on the family farm. In 1964 they moved to Springdale, Arkansas where she worked as a jewelry clerk. She was especially skilled at cooking and sewing.
Grace was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Springdale, Arkansas.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Riley, her daughter Shirley and her granddaughter Angela George. Also, her parents George and Dorothy Thompson, and 3 sisters, Helen, Georgia and Eddie.
Her survivors include 2 daughters, Marietta and her husband Larry George, and Judy and her husband Tom Riddle. Six granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by many friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home Saturday, October 12, at 2:00 P.M. Rev Larry George officiating.
The grandchildren will be speaking.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens in Marshall.
