DECATUR — Clifton Melvin Martin, 63, of Decatur died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville. He was born July 8, 1944, in Prairie Grove to Elmer and Elva Frederick Martin.
Clifton was a vendor for the blind program in the Department of Human Services and was a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Martin of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Marilyn Simpson and husband Rodney of Decatur; two nephews, John Schwab of Silvia, Kan., and Rusty Simpson of Decatur; and one niece, Jeanelle Cox of Decatur.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Paul Payne officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
