Lucille Flowers Thomas, 75, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Fulton, Ark., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, in a Hot Springs hospital.

Mrs. Thomas was born May 7, 1937. She was former 1st lady of St. Thomas Baptist Church, Minister Wives president of Southwest District, youth supervisor for Southwest District Baptist Association, a member of Senior Companion Program, Chapter 1 parents advisory board of Hot Springs, Ark., Public School District and Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. W.J. Thomas.

Survivors include four sons, Larry Marshall and Steve Marshall of Hot Springs, Ellis Marshall of Louisville, Ky., and James Marshall of Little Rock; two daughters, Shirley Simmons of Hot Springs and Brenda Johnson of Dallas; three brothers, Monroe Cheatham of Las Vegas, Melvin Flowers of Tucson, Ariz., and Johnny B. Flowers of Hope; two sisters, Louise Murphy of Las Vegas and Hazel Sue Flowers of Little Rock; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Hot Springs with the Revs. Douglas E. Jones and Leon Massey officiating. Burial will be in Westmoreland Cemetery, Fulton, Ark., under direction of Brandon's Mortuary.
