Opal L. (Burnett) Honey
June 15, 1917-June 01, 2017
Opal Burnett Honey, 99, of Newport departed this life Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born on June 15, 1917 in Des Arc, the daughter of Thomas Cody and Ila Bell (Burnett) Honey. Mrs. Honey was a member of Beedeville Church of Christ, enjoyed crocheting and working in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Monroe Honey, one daughter; Betty Lou Honey, and her parents; Thomas Cody and Ila Bell (Burkhead) Burnett.
Her survivors are four daughters; Donna Hinson and husband Clark of Eureka Springs, Sarah Lander and husband Bill of Clever, Missouri, Phyllis May and husband David of Newport, and JoAnn Boatwright and husband Ronald of Conway, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at Remmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
