Marvin Vernon Whitehead, 84, of Middleville, MI, formerly of Blytheville, AR., passed from this life on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
Born in Wynne, AR., to Jim and Blanche Wilkey Whitehead.
He was retired from Borg Warner. Marvin was a former member of Ruddle Road Church of God and was a member of Pentecostals of Kentwood Church in Grand Rapids, MI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one son, Marvin Wayne Whitehead; brothers, Dennis "Junior" Whitehead, Glen Wilkey and Leonard Wilkey and sister, Jerline McDowell.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Baugus Whitehead of Blytheville; children, Glen Whitehead of Blytheville, Tony Whitehead of Middleville, MI and Shirley Diane Cole of Blytheville; brothers, Wendell Wilkey of Jonesboro, Charles Wilkey of Bald Knob, AR; sisters, Linda Brewer, Marie Gamble, Bertha McCormick and Glenda Johnson, all of Manila, AR, Nellie Stone of Marmaduke, AR, Barbara Warren of Jonesboro, AR, Earline Hicks of Bowling Green, KY and Mary Kiss of Blytheville, AR; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Bertha Whitehead, 88, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.
Born to Will and Lettie Smith Baugus, Bertha was a retired factory worker and of the Church of God faith. She loved to walk and spent several hours each day walking and enjoying nature. After retirement, Bertha was dedicated to watching church programs on television and reading religious books.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Whitehead; her parents; one son, Marvin Wayne Whitehead; daughter-in-law, Myra Whitehead; three brothers, Willard, Pete and L.C. Baugus; and one sister, Lucille Morris.
Bertha leaves her three children, Glen Whitehead and his wife Judy of Blytheville, Tony Whitehead and his wife Margarita of Middleville, Michigan and Shirley Cole and her husband Jimmy of Cabot; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 1st at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linda Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
