Mr. Jacob Jackson, 87, resident of Judsonia, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Mr. Jackson was born in Beedeville, Arkansas to Jacob and Josephine Scott Jackson and attended school there.
On January 27, 1948 he married Mary Eaton who survives. He was a farmer and loved his work. He started working on the farm at the age of 9 and his family stated that farming was his life. Mr. Jackson didn’t like to hunt or fish but loved eating what other people caught and killed. He believed in the old time values and ways of life and his family always came first.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Eaton Jackson, one son, Richard Jackson of Judsonia, two daughters, Joyce Jackson and Mary Gonzales both of Judsonia, three brothers, Clayton Jackson of New Mexico, Charlie Jackson of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Walter McElyea of Beedeville, one sister, Arle Neldon of Fennville, Michigan, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandc-hildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Josephine Scott Jackson
Burial was in Eight Mile Cemetery under the direction of Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home.
