Frieda Joyce Jackson, resident of Judsonia departed this life on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from the Unity Health-White County Medical Center of Searcy at the age of 72. She was born on December 5, 1944 in Trumann, Arkansas the daughter of Jacob Jackson and Mary Jane Eaton Jackson.
Ms. Jackson was a high school graduate from California and after moving back to Arkansas while raising her children, she worked two jobs, as a caregiver for a Retirement Center in Searcy and also at the Searcy Wal-Mart store. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading western and romance novels.
Ms. Jackson is preceded in death by her father, Jacob Jackson, one son, Billy Joe Hawkins and one sister, Wanda Emery.
Ms. Jackson is survived by her mother, Mary Jane Jackson of Judsonia, Arkansas, four sons, William Hawkins and wife Bobbie of Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas, Harold Hawkins and wife Debra of Washington State, Don Allan Hawkins of Bald Knob, Arkansas, David Wayne Hawkins of Sacramento, California, three daughters, Pam Young and husband Warner of Bakersfield, California, Laura Nutting and husband William of Crow Mountain, Arkansas, Dawn Ellen Hawkins of Bald Knob, Arkansas, one brother, Richard Jacob Jackson of Judsonia, Arkansas, one sister, Mary Ann Gonzalez and husband Elie of Judsonia, Arkansas, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services following at Eight Mile Cemetery near Beedeville at 2:00 p.m.
