Blytheville, AR - Marvin L. Wicker, 73, retired employee of United Paint Co. and grocery store owner, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. He was a member of the Ruddle Road Church of God.

He leaves two daughters, Carol Garner of Blytheville and Elaine Dawson of Kinston, N.C.; four sons, Joe Wicker of Denver, Byron Wicker of Mobile, AL, and Gerald Wicker and Mark Wicker, both of Blytheville; four sisters, Opal McCormick and Jewel Anderson, both of Blytheville, Charlene Brown of Norwalk, Calif., and Pauline Tarburton of Wilmington, Del.; 13 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward (Joe) Wicker and Hattie A. Miller Wicker; and a brother, Melvin Wicker, and wife Mildred Nell Bratcher Wicker.

Bytheville, AR - Mrs. Mildred Wicker, 70, retired owner of Wicker's Convenience Store, died Wednesday at the Mississippi County Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cobb Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. She was a Jehovah's Witness.

Mrs. Wicker, the wife of Marvin Wicker, also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Carol Garner of Blytheville and Mrs. Elaine Dawson of Kinston, N.C.; four sons, Gerald Wicker and Mark Wicker, both of Blytheville, Joe Wicker of Denver and Byron Wicker of Mobile, AL; three sisters, Mrs. Nadean Waggy of Lone Oak, Texas, Mrs. Doris Nye of Bellevue, Illinois, and Mrs. Ruth McCormick of Kennett, MO.; a brother, Jack Pope of Denver; 13 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
