Naomi Lavelle Coker was born on May 12, 1895, in Maury, Tennessee. She married Paul Ray Ross on April 5, 1917, in Cross, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. She died on February 27, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 58, and was buried in Blytheville, Arkansas.
